Pillager doesn't break their crossbow

@Jarl-Penguin The durability of the crossbow will only decrease in Java edition and it will not decrease in Bedrock edition. When the durability reaches zero it will break, so in Java edition it will break and in Bedrock edition it will not. 

@Jason that still doesn't make it WAI. Maybe crossbows should break in Bedrock Edition, but they don't.

@Jarl-Penguin It really depends on the devs and what they choose to do since each version has their exclusives.

@Jason it shouldn't depend on the version since the end goal is version parity.

Just to clear things up, this is considered as bug in the Java Edition of Minecraft which can be seen at MC-163960.

If you use a command
/summon pillager ~ ~ ~ minecraft:spawn_passive

And this is an java command.doesn't work in bedrock.i know peaceful pillager command without crossbow.

The command of the good pillager is:
/summon pillager ~ ~ ~ minecraft:spawn_passive

Hmmm.... where is the piglins?Piglins doesn't break their crossbow too.

I know the commands but i saying in survival mode you can't command.if you know i all ready have a Peaceful pillager in my world.

In wiki page said In java Edition "pillager can break their crossbow unlike other mobs"so why wiki said that .that is a bug?

Just because it's on the wiki doesn't mean it's intended. Any user is able to edit the wiki, so it's just noted that it's possible to break them, not confirmed that it's intended. We'd need someone from Mojang to confirm whether it's intended or not.

If JE's behavior is intended, this should also be updated to affect Piglins. Ones that spawn with swords will never have theirs break, but ones with crossbows do.

The only people on the issue tracker from Mojang are the ones with [Minecraft] and [Mojang] in their names. Mojang can't manage the entire public issue tracker on their own, so there are members of the community that help out to maintain the place.

Mega_Spud, from Mojang, has given this an ADO, meaning that it's listed on their private internal issue tracker for Bedrock, so while nobody at Mojang's made a formal statement, it's possible that Java's is the intended behavior. However, issues have been given ADOs before being closed as WAI, and nothing has been done by Mojang for the Java counterpart to the issue (crossbows breaking in the first place) so it's just as equally possible that Bedrock's is intended. We'll have to wait and see.

This appears to have been fixed based on MCPE-117404.

Their crossbow still doesn’t break on bedrock. Waited for ages.
that bug report you referred to is someone requesting a new feature...

MC-163960 was resolved as WAI, which means this bug is valid.

This bug still exists in Bedrock v1.19.22. Thank you so much for looking into fixing this bug though. I was so bummed out when I designed a room and "work" area for an illager only to find out that it's bow would never break(that was after I patiently let it shoot arrows at me for 30 minutes😅). Welp, I hope you can fix this issue soon.😊
