1.16.210 broke existing nether portal network

I have an existing nether hub corresponding to roughly over world coordinates x:-6000, z:-6000. All of my portals were well linked to their over world/8 coordinates in the nether. Now, when I leave the nether it drops me in the neighborhood of x:150, z:-600. Moreover, no nether portal exists where I'm dropped, so I can't return to the nether. This seems to be a serious error in how the destination is calculated when generating terrain in an alternate dimension and needs urgent attention.

Is this only happening on a Bedrock Dedicated Server?

Having the same issue on my realm. People are getting placed at the co-ordinates of the portal they went through in the overworld, but in the nether. People are also often dying as they go through a portal when on the 'building terrain' screen, with it showing they either died from suffocating in a wall or fall damage. This has also caused instances where all of their items vanish. Nobody is now using portals on the realm until their is a fix, which I hope is imminent as this is game breaking!

I’m not sure what other versions it is happening on. I only have Bedrock Edition version 1.16.210 running on a PS4.

Moved to the MCPE project since this is not an issue with the Bedrock Dedicated Server.

The issue can be closed with an asterisk. The problem was solved in stages. Traveling overland back to a portal that sent me to the wrong place after the update, now sends me to the correct linked portal. I suspect the update interacted with my saved data in some way. I’m not sure I can capture those dynamic files in the state they were in on update. The hash-named files on my USB backup are confusing. If you can coach me on which files to upload, I’ll try to get you that snapshot. The main map file is almost 1GB.

The broken portal network is game wide. It is happening on our realm as well and on xbox not just PS4. Often times we port and the destination cords are exactly same as originating cords. So as example if you start at 600 60 600 in overworld you port to 600 60 600 in the nether or further. and when you port out it may work or go somewhere obscure. This is game breaking if you are being mindful of file size and world travel limits.

It happens on my Dedicated Bedrock Server too.

This is also happening on my single player world on ps4:

Steps to reproduce - enter nether portal in overworld. The portal is part of a successfully linked network that may have been used during the current game session  with no issues.

Observed results - portal may teleport player to the same overworld coordinates that they entered from, but in the nether. There may or may not be a portal to return through. Entering that portal will teleport the player to the nether coords x 8 in the overworld, potentially thousands of blocks where they started from. This appears to happen randomly, both in a new game session (when first loading the nether) and after playing for a while (nether has already successfully loaded and portals have correctly linked).

Expected results - portal should teleport player to the overworld coords / 8 in the nether. If there is already a linked portal in that location, player will teleport through it.

I am currently having to make a backup of my game file every time I go through a nether portal in case it takes me somewhere I can't easily return from. This is game breaking. Unfortunately I can't share a copy of my game file or screenshot but I am going to load up another world to see if it has the same issues.
