Bug explanation
Since the 1.17.0.51 portals once again break in a ripple pattern, rather than instantly.
This change will cause increased amount of lag as each portal will have to check to update in order to break, rather than instantly
This change is also in disparity with Java Edition, as they break instantly on Java when you break a portal (MC-151621)
This change also occurred in 1.16.100.55 but was later fixed in 1.16.100.57, see: MCPE-99650
Expected result
Portals break instantly, not causing too much lag
Observed result
Portals break with a ripple effect, causing an increased amount of lag

Possibly caused by this change mentioned in the changelog:
Fixed an issue with certain blocks which could cause them to grow too quickly when ticked
Windows PC Bedrock v1.17.0.52 Beta Update broke the nether portal like it was broken in MCPE-99650.
I'm pretty sure this is intentional. Although MC-151621 was resolved as WAI, I suggest Mojang to reopen it.
This is big news for technical players and those who use our designs for their own benefit, because one of the most well-known gold farming mechanics on the platform involves randomTicking portals to spawn zombified piglins at a fast rate.
