Try deleting the com.mojang folder after uninstalling the game. (Make sure to backup your worlds first, as they'll be deleted when you do this.) Afterwards, reinstall the game. That might fix your problem. I believe your Minecraft installation is just corrupted and that this probably isn't a bug.
