There are too many trees in grove biome compared to java

Summary:

The grove biome is too dense compared to the java version.

Seed example:
-732078047
Coordinates:
-4958 73 1086

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Find the Mountain Grove biome.

  2. See how it is generated.

Observed results:

There are too many trees in the bedrock grove. In Java, a little less spruce is generated in the grove.

Expected results:

Eating in the biome of the grove in the bedrock version will be slightly less.

This may be due to a bug in the Java version MC-236698. After fixing in java version I will write if parity problem disappeared or not.

I have updated the report to match the update in the Java version.

This is how it is supposed to be, it's the Java version that has too few trees, because the bug MC-236698 was not fixed correctly.

This is a parity problem and has nothing to do with MC-236698. The generation of trees in bedrock itself is very dense, when in Java all spruce trees are generated less frequently (both large and small). This can be seen even in your screenshot from MC-236698.

Honestly I think it looks a lot nicer like this, and in my opinion they should make the java grove biome be like how it is in bedrock instead of the other way around.

The problem may also be related to MCPE-148361

This fact should also be taken into account when comparing biome generation.

Seems to be fixed in 1.18.10.26 by fixed MCPE-148361
