I can't import mc edu worlds to bedrock because it says unsupported file format

I recently got vanilla Minecraft after having Minecraft Education Edition for a long time. I wanted to transfer one of my worlds over to regular Minecraft but it says Unsupported File Format when I try to do so. After doing some research I found that one isabel reesor had a similar problem and she had to give the world to a mod for them to fix it. I was wondering if I could do the same thing and if there was anyway to fix this so I wouldn't have to file a bug report if I wanted to import another world sometime in the future?

Please attach the world affected, if possible, if it is unsupported or too big you can upload it elsewhere and link here.

I understand that these things can take time but I was wondering if there was any progress in resolving my issue? I don't know if this is the correct area to post this question but I have not found anywhere else that I may submit it. according to the page my issue was resolved but the solution was deemed incorrect. Does that mean it is still being worked on or is it being assigned a number until someone else can look into it?

Confirmed on Windows 10 PC. The world save linked to is packaged correctly and is a valid zip archive, but when I try to import it to Minecraft it says "unsupported file format".

The_Doctor3439: this is a bug tracker, not a support site, and anything a mod does to help a user is done as a courtesy and shouldn't be expected in every case. I do not know which other report you are referring to (mentioning it by key, e.g. MCPE-xxxxx would be more helpful). In your case I have looked at the world save file provided and I don't know what is wrong with it, so there is nothing I can do. Perhaps if you try to export it again from Education Edition, or if you copy the world before exporting it, it might work.

As far as tracking this issue as bug, I have confirmed the report so Mojang will create an internal ticket for it as a bug. Do not expect a personalized response from Mojang. Typically the only update would be if they report a fix in a changelog. For an issue like this one that seems quite obscure, they may not do anything to fix it for months or years or ever, judging by other reports from users who have provided world saves that won't open (for example, MCPE-117062 and MCPE-103403).

Closing since EDU worlds are not allowed on bedrock.

This is more of a feature request or a suggestion than a bug with the game.

We're very keen to hear your ideas though, so please head over to the Minecraft Feedback Site where you can search and vote for existing topics, or add a new thread if necessary.
