I'm building a structure at high altitude (Y=255), and I'm suddenly falling through the blocks. This seems to occur when I'm standing on a wool block with nothing underneath it. Attempting to place blocks also results in the block disappearing and returning to inventory. Replicated on both online and local worlds.

Hi,
Not sure about the datapacks thing, my friend hosts the world on an external server called Shockbyte. However, I have been able to replicate this error on local worlds on both PC and on MCPE on Android, so the server wouldn't be the issue. I go up to approximately 255 on the Y axis, make a wool platform, and when I step out to place blocks further out, I notice the air supply meter flash up and disappear. As in my attached .mp4, when I eat, my character's location changes slightly (enough to clip me through the platform). In a similar area, I had also died while standing still with the game telling me I "fell from a high place". I will see if I can capture these things happening and attach the videos when possible.
Hello Mengarda85,
Is your friend able to see the blocks you have placed? Are you sure that the blocks have been placed? I've tried for a few hours to reproduce the bug on Windows/Xbox/Nintendo Switch yesterday, but i wasn't able to reproduce the issue !
Thank you.
I will try to get him online to witness the glitch as well. It's been typically only me on this structure at that height. This doesn't happen on lower levels for me or anyone else.
Thank you for your report!

I'm on version 1.20.51 and have recently experienced a bug that this tracker has listed as a duplicate of this one. Taking damage at Y 255 when placing blocks, interacting with blocks, or even right clicking with nothing in the hand. Also happens if I break blocks. It does not happen if I stand and do nothing or stand on a pressure plate to interact with a trapdoor (so long as I haven't yet placed, broken, or interacted with a block, unless I have just stepped up or down one block which seems to 'deactivate' it, just to clarify), and it stops happening when I move up or down one block. Also, it seems to start and stop causing damage when I move forward and backward, appearing to only effect some blocks in front of and beside where I was at in the building I was in. I also have a map in my offhand and have noticed the location indicator moves repeatedly when the issue occurs. I have taken videos of me playing with the bug to see how it works, but I do not know how to upload it here, or what the maximum file size limit is.
I am on bedrock version 1.20.51 and am also experiencing this issue. I have a structure built on a realm I play on, and while standing at level 255, if I perform any action that requires a right click, I begin taking damage. Air bubbles appear briefly, but disappear. The damage stops if I move out of the area or jump. If I eat food, I will drop through the block I am standing on (an iron block) and drop to a lower level I had to build to prevent me falling all the way to the ground. I first learned of the issue because I was exiting a nether portal at that location and when spawning in, either when exiting the portal, or loading the game at that location, i was dropping through the floor. I also have the periodic issue of placing blocks, but they flash on screen but then disappear as if I hadn't placed them (item is back in inventory).
Hello Mengarda85,
I am unable to reproduce this bug.
Can you please provide more informations or steps?
Do you use datapacks on your worlds/servers?
Thank you !
