Frequent crashing on ps4 and Ps5 Co consoles.

Do you get any message/error code when the game crashes? Does MCPE-173202 address your issue?

Actually, no. I am on the ps5 and it doesn't freeze. When mine freezes it fixes itself. Mine just crashes at random.

And yes, I get an error code.

this is honestly really annoying i cant play on servers because ill just be kicked out of my match and scares me about corruption when being kicked from single player worlds

Freezie2go, I 100% agree. It's even worse when you're on your own realm. I am constantly getting crashes and I'm constantly getting disconnected from the internet. It's gotten so bad that even my skin won't load anymore.

The crash happens during gameplay survival/creative worlds nothing in particular. One occurance was whilst floating around in a creative world another was whilst exploring in survival.

On PS5 no error is given as the console freezes completely so I have to hold the power button for 30 or so seconds then the PS5 does a repair sequence on the storage when resuming power.

Then I check system settings - error history and no new error for minecraft is listed.

Steps to reproduce this are as follows;

1. Play Minecraft Bedrock on PS5, creative or survival doesn't matter.

2. Eventually the game will freeze also freezing the console, cannot get to PS5 home screen to close game.

3. Hold PS5 power button approx 30 seconds, PS5 will turn off.

4. Turn PS5 back on and it will enter a disc repair mode. Go to PS5 settings - system - error history, nothing new is there for Minecraft, error was not logged or reported.

5. Reload Minecraft game freezes again back to step 1.

This is not a console related issue it is related to the game, the issue is not present in other game titles only Minecraft.

I would expect this issue to be resolved by now as it has been present for me since March 2023.

Instead they keep saying that crashes are logged automatically by the system but that's not true when the system freezes.

This has made Minecraft to risky to play on the PS5 as you risk corruption of your disc drive or worse.

Bug still present on 1.20.51

I have total playtime of 13h and had 5 crashes/freezes.

This happens on survival and creative modes (those two I've tested). I didn't change anything within the game, just installed and started playing.

After first 2 crashes I've tried disabling cross play and online features, without luck.

PS5 freezes, and the only solution is to hold power button until console shuts off. After powering it again, PS5 performs disk repair. Console does not log any crash report.

At this point, I feel like being scammed. I paid full price for this game and it's unplayable. There is a serious risk of damaging SSD.

Sadly I can't get refund, because it's a digital purchase.

I will warn everyone everywhere I can to not buy this game untill this issue is solved.

I've played around 200 games on PS5, most of which were PS4 games in compatibility mode, and this kind of freeze never happened. It's clearly Minecraft specific bug.

If this is still an issue in the latest release, I highly suggest trying the solutions provided in this thread. Please tell us whether any of them work.

Note: My comment is mostly directed towards the OP, as they described that they were receiving an error code.
