Non-leather armor/horse armor can be used on a Cauldron with dyed water, which consumes water

When interacting with any armor other than leather on a cauldron filled with dyed water (same way when dyeing leather armor) it consumes some of the water in the cauldron.

This bug also works with elytra. This bug could be even taken advantage of with elytra to have actual dyed elytra.

This bug does not actually dye non-leather armor, it does nothing but consume cauldron water.

I also discovered you can do the same thing with weapons as of 1.21.1

Can confirm the bug is still in existence in 1.21.50.24 Preview.

Can confirm in 26.10.25 Preview.

Since 26.10.25 Preview, also the subtitle when trying to dye general non-leather armor, non-leather horse armor or elytra in a dyed water cauldron without success is “Leather armor gets dyed.” This also makes absolutely no sense to any non-leather armor.

For now, I have currently covered this incorrect subtitle in MCPE-233116 . That incorrect subtitle is related to the buggy behaviour with armor and a dyed water cauldron.
