MCPE-187502

Sea lantern and glowstone blocks do not conduct redstone anymore.

For some unknown reason, glowstone blocks do not let redstone pass through them; that means that if i were to, let's say- create a floor made out of them, the redstone beneath it will not work when powered on through these blocks. This wasn't previously the case in recent versions, and of course it is not intended behavior.

This is intentional for sea lanterns, so I have removed them from the report.

From the 1.21.30 changelog:

The following blocks have been brought to parity with Java Edition for Redstone power:
minecraft:mangrove_roots -> now powered (MCPE-153838)
minecraft:beacon -> no longer powered
minecraft:tnt -> no longer powered
minecraft:sea_lantern -> no longer powered (MCPE-79271)

I suspect this is intentional for glowstone as well.

Glowstone has always been a "transparent" or non-conducting block in both Editions of the game. Note the many duplicate reports of MC-3311 that refer exclusively to glowstone.

Since the original report here is entirely working as intended, I am restoring the original summary.

I see, so it was a pairity issue after all. I suspected it was working as intended, but i find it odd how this has been a thing for years and has been patched just now.
