This has been a problem since 1.21.40 betas/previews. Some icons (such as edit pen, worlds list sorting) don't show its actual icon on some OreUI screens. Instead they only show a white square. I tried to reinstalled the preview, refreshed the hbui\assets folder but it won't fix. This only happens in Minecraft Windows
And no, I'm not using any unofficial launcher, I update the preview directly thru the Windows Store. This is also not an issue caused by resource packs
The first screenshot wasn't mine, it was from @ibxtoycat on Twitter
UPDATE:
- I just found a solution to this problem. There’s an OreUI customization tool made by 8Crafter that fixed the problem.

I could confirm this issue, The Ore UI icons appears covered by white boxes that only affected on my Windows laptop, Android does not affected.
Interesting, I cannot reproduce the issue on Windows or iOS, I don't have any resource packs activated on my Preview. So could it be the issue with resource packs and be worked around by disabling them?

It's an old laptop. This white square issue didn't happen on my lap before 1.20.40 previews
[media]Quick update:
I think I've found the reason why I keep getting this issue. Also I'm a Vietnamese and not so good at explaining things in english, so the explaination might be a little bit confused So I dug into the hbui folder and tried to find the missing icons, they're still there. But when I put the texture in blockbench, they do not show anything. After that, I created a copy of the texture file and remove the "%" and it surprisingly worked (the texture shown on blockbench). I tried to figure out and noticed all the missing icons that turned into squares are somehow the texture files that included the "%" symbol in their name. Maybe the texture files with "%" symbol in the name corrupted the textures to show up in game?

and so the devs can fix the issue i made a python script to take out all the % of file names and output the file names (with the %) to a txt file
i have included the txt file with the list of broken files stored at “\data\gui\dist\hbui\assets”
I just found a tool out there can fix this white square problem. Also this helps u customize the color of OreUI elements
Are you using the unofficial Bedrock Launcher?
