Player model sometimes appears as a floating head

After a recent device crash while playing in the nether in survival, logging back in made my player model all wonky. The entire body goes missing, my armor doesn’t show up, and my head gets morbidly stuck in my sphere and sword. Other classic player skins don’t show up in my Skin Creator either. On the second image, there should have been a fifth skin on the very left (Garret from “A Minecraft Movie“), but he’s just not showing up. It seems like closing and re-opening Minecraft fixes this, but thought you should know.

I've had the same problem for the past two days on my Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, all the accessories/hair on my head disappear.

Oh interesting, it’s a multi-platform glitch. Thanks for sharing. :)

I only got this bug once, but if I recall correctly, it happened when I click too fast after a reboot of the game and/or my entire PC.

Also experiencing this bug on Nintendo Switch 2 in Realms. My kid plays on the NS2 v26.2, myself on a PC in a shared Realm. My child’s character appears only as a floating head with whatever is equipped in her main hand. No body/legs nor head armor is visible. Troubleshooting attempted, nothing worked: restart game, restart game and NS2 device, various combos of changing skins/restarting game and restarting device.

I got this bug on my PlayStation 4 and it seemed to fix itself when I closed the game application

This has happened to me four other times since I made this pull. Every time it does happen, the Hot Pink Llamas and Ghasts become a thing. These two bugs must be related in some way.
