It keeps saying I’m disconnected from Xbox Live (Xbox One S), I’ve tried resetting the game

I also currently have this issue. Out of all of my friends, I’m the only one with it. I’ll vote for the issue and watch it.

I have a same/similar issue, with V 1.2.1. Installed this version only yesterday.

More detail about the issue/error:

• The msg is visible when you are in a local World

• When you press the "start" button on the xbox one s controller, you get the "Resume Game, Settings, Achievements, How to Play, Save & Quit" menu, and on the right hand side of the screen it says "Current World", and a message below it : "Oops! You were disconnected from Xbox Live To invite more players, reopen your world."

In addition to this is that on the first screen (Worlds/Friends/Servers):

• On the Worlds tab it says "We could not connect to Realms right now. We will try again soon",

• On the Servers Tab I can see 3 Servers, and when I try to connect to the first 2 servers (InPvP or Mineplex) the following message appears "Xbox Live Profile Required", then it disconnects and is back at the same screen where you select a server (or use the LB/RB to choose Worlds/Friends). If you try again to connect to the same server you get a different msg: "Disconnected from Server", and if you try again you get this message:"You Must be logged into XBL!"

• If I choose the 3rd server "Lifeboat Network", then it connects and we play against other players online in this world!!!!
  -Yet then when I then go to one of my own worlds (yes its set as multiplayer game), and you press the "start" button on the Xbox one s controller, on the right hand side of the screen it says "Current World", and a message below it : "Oops! You were disconnected from Xbox Live To invite more players, reopen your world." (When i'm not disconnected from Xbox live)

+ I've also got to mention : +

1) This is on Xbox One S
2) In our case this problem is happening on my sons profile:

• My profile has a Xbox gold subscription ( and I dont have this problem/issue on my profile)

• The Xbox is set as the Home Xbox,

• On my sons profile on the same xbox, then this problem occurs, its as if it its not seeing the home xbox gold subscription of the main profile/home xbox
  3) My sons profile has no restrictions for online play, "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" online play works fine on my sons profile , he can play online, invite friends, play multiplayer games, etc all works in Minecraft Xbox One Edition
  4) Other games online play works without issue on my sons profile, and he can access all my games and gold membership benefits.

I'm not sure if this would work for you, I contacted Xbox support and they guided/troubleshooted this and got the issue resolved in our case. It seems there was some issue in my sons profile on the xbox that did not pick up on the Gold membership, and by removing his profile and adding it back on to the Xbox One S seems to link it properly and resolved the issue for us, the steps we followed were:

1. We removed my sons profile completely from the xbox (this is the affected profile, we left my profile on the xbox - which is the one with the xbox gold membership)

2. Then we turned the Xbox off by pressing the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds

3. Removed the power cable from the Xbox for 1 minute

4. Turned the Xbox back on again

5. Added my sons profile back onto the Xbox

6. Started Minecraft, and hey Presto" online multiplayer works, the disconnected message is gone, he can invite his friends and Realms are now available

The Xbox support guy (Ryan) recons it is something to do with my sons profile not picking up/linking properly with the main member/profile's gold subscription, and removing the profile as per the steps above and then adding it establishes the connection to the main member's gold membership.

This resolved the problems for us and it all now works.

Note: I was initially hesitant to remove my sons profile completely from the Xbox, and the Xbox support said that his saved games/worlds/etc are saved in the "cloud" and will be there when you add the profile back to the Xbox - my fears were false and his saved games/worlds were there to download again in Minecraft and also the same for his other games.

@Cornelius, the steps you provided worked for a while, but after stopping the game for a while, I kept getting the same error about not being connected to Xbox Live. I'm not going to create a new profile each time I want to play. Furthermore, when I try and connect to one of the public / external servers, it tells me I must be connected to XBL. This is something internal with MC not connecting to XBL, and not a profile issue as Microsoft tried to write it off as. This submission is not the only one with similar reports of not being able to connect to Realms or servers, yet all of them remain unconfirmed. Mojang, anything from your end about picking up on this and finding a fix?

I am having this issue on my Windows 10 machine

I'm having the same issue. I have tried removing the affected account, shutting off the console and unplugging the power to it for a few minutes. When I plugged it back in and readded the account, it worked for a minute or so, then went back to having the same issue.

I have the same issue. it even occurs while in a Multiplayer World but it doesnt disconnect the players yet it still shows the error.

Are you stating that this has to do with the ADVERTISED Gold sharing?
I myself have experienced this when my son's friend couldn't enter my world to see what I built and I utilize Gold sharing. My son and friend were able to join each other's world error free though (they both have active Gold). LAN connections work as expected. We have several Xbox One's and multiple Gold accounts so I thought why not save a few bucks on Gold SINCE IT IS ADVERTISED TO BE SHARED!

Update: This issue is not resolved, The issue returned with the same symptoms! Is anyone at Mojang/Microsoft looking at this?

Mojang / Microsoft - please look into this, the issue are happening for many users, just check the tickets on this system and google it and you will see

Even after Today's Minecraft Update did not fix this issue. I was hoping it would :c

Ive also noticed that if i get the game to load without giving me this error , it will just eventually appear within the hour while im playing and prevent me from being able to do online stuff.

Did you try to resetting your console?
For me it solves the problem with realms and the Xbox Live error.

Go to settings and reset your console with the option to keep apps & games.

Maybe this also works in your case.

Restarting Console
Hard Resetting Console
Removing and Re-Adding my Xbox Live account
Factory Reset my Console
Resetting my Internet Router
Switching between WIFI and WIRED Connections
Power Cycle Console
Clearing MAC ADDRESS
Un-installing and Re-installing Minecraft
Testing/Checking my Network

None of these things will fix the issue.
Sometimes it works but then 10 minutes into paying it wil lgive the error again. usually followed by a system hard crash

UPDATE:
My Xbox and my Minecraft have had an update recently, and i no longer experience this issue.

Not resolved: Updates installed, Issues came back after about 30 minutes.

Also the work around still is the same (i.e. pulling the power out for 10 seconds, and power back on, then it works again for a little while)

Any idea on how long before this will get fixed?
My son mentioned today he doesn't like the new Minecraft so much anymore as we have to turn the Xbox on and off each time he wants to play online with his friends.

After the previous updates, the Xbox can now see my worlds (Windows 10), however, after attempting to join the world, I get an error message "Unable to connect to world."

@Cornelius Well your kid needs to learn how to be patient.

Still not resolved for me as of the latest release.

This has not worked for me since the BTU. I cannot connect with any players. Very frustrating considering that's how I played before BTU.

I agree, that this issue should be moved up in priority. It's a big deal and a game breaker. The issue hasn't even been assigned to someone yet. 😞

Tickets in the bedrock section are no longer assigned to specific developers - please be assured that this issue is being investigated and worked on!

We have the same problem on Minecraft PE version 1.5.2.

Intermittently managing to connect and invite others, but mostly getting the message "“Oops! You were disconnected from Xbox Live. To invite more players, reopen your world." (in Norwegian though).

Not sure what information is useful. It's a child acount with multiplayer enabled.

The 'Affects Version' tag is outdated, but I can confirm that this still happens in 1.9.0.

This is also present in 1.12.0. Using PC and after a few minutes, I get the message on the menu. Can still access marketplace.

Yeah it happened to me and after doing research nothing has really been done and it’s kind of frustrating 

i found a fix! (well for me.) all you need to do is update your computer to the latest update! hope this helped

 had it on the iOS but it went away and was visual

This bug, is not definitely a bug, the problem is your internet. Please answer these questions.

1. Did you got off Minecraft, for a while and came back?

2.  Are you on your internet?

3. Did you had a friend with you, and did your invites got failed.
