I am pretty sure it is ment to have a black boarder, so that you can spot the difference, if it would have been a bug, I think they would have fixed it by now 🙂

Tried fixing it myself because lord knows they won't and its been bugging me. I failed miserably.

I ended up using IO bit unlocker and deleted. It was a guessing game of which logo went where, there is like 4 IDENTICAL grass texture block logos 44x44 with different names. What kind of coding is that? 

I didn't try replacing with larger image resolution like 64x64 but now that I found the culprit that might work?

I'ma just have a ghost slot because that looks better imo

The MCBE icon in start screen app list is fixed in Windows 10 20H2 because in this version of Windows 10 app icon has no background anymore, but it's still has this problem when pinned on taskbar.

So I think the black border is actually a background that added automatically by Windows because the MCBE icon is not made in the correct size.
And I think what the dev need to do is fix the app icon size❓ .

Not an issue in Windows 11 22H2 though

This issue still affects Windows 11 but this time in the taskbar preview.
