Monster Spawners not working after porting world from Xbox one edition to xbox bedrock edition

Hi, I have noticed that two monster spawners that were active in the console edition xbox one minecraft version no longer are working after I ported the world to the new bedrock edition for xbox one. The spawner cage is still there with fire around it but there is no monster spinning inside the spawner cage. One of these was a skeleton spawner, the other was a blaze spawner in the nether. I have not seen any other spawners so I can't confirm if this is with all of them in my world or not. Using creative mode to place an egg inside the spawner will fix the spawner and cause it to spawn the monster of choice, however, I don't want to ruin my survival only world that I get achievements on. I would like these to work again, any help on how to resolve this would be great. Thank you

Have you converted the world using the latest versions of the game?

Yes, I believe so, but I will try that again and report back

Hi, even converting the world using the lastest version of the game doesn't work. I still end up with broken spawners. Please fix the spawners in my world, I would hate to start over.

Make it so the fix will prevent other spawners from breaking? I re-found two more in my immediate area that I'd lit up and forgotten about when I first made my main world (one spider, one skelly) and I would like to be able to develop one into a new XP grinder to replace my broken zombie grinder. But not if they're going to immediately break, too

Ok, it sounds similar to MCPE-27446 or MCPE-25429, but the fact that you've said it still happens even when converted using the latest versions means this could be a regression or something specific in your world. Is there any more information you can give about the world where this is happening?

Was this originally an Xbox 360 world, perhaps?

If you create a new world on Xbox One using the same seed, and convert that to Bedrock, does the spawner become empty there still?

Hi @unknown, it would be much appreciated if you could let me know if this still occurs in 1.6. Could you perhaps try converting the world again in the latest 1.6 version and seeing if the spawner still becomes empty?

Hi Mega_Spud,

Sorry, I have been really busy lately, I will try it in 1.6 as soon as I get a chance and report back.

Converting the world in 1.6 seems to have solved the issue, the one monster spawner (skeleton) I checked was working now. Is it at all possible to apply this fix to worlds that had been previously converted in 1.5.3? or will those always have broken spawners now?

Theresa Mackillop

We've been asking them that since the issue first cropped up and they've been saying they don't think it's possible to "retroactively" fix the broken spawners.

Will the fix at least prevent other spawners from breaking? I re-found two more in my immediate area that I could develop but I'd like to know if they will or won't break on me, too. I can't re-sync my world without losing 11 months' worth of progress, much of which it will be impossible to get back.
