My sitting tamed wolves won't stand when I right-click on them.

I don't know; I tried them on 1.10.0.3 Beta and they still didn't work. However, when I spawned them in Creative mode, they worked fine.
If it's any help, I created this world right before the Boss Update, back in 2016. And also, I didn't tame any Wolves in it until at least 2017.
There was an update a few months ago that, to the best anyone can tell, changed the internal ID for the player character but did not update tamed animals already existing in the world. Which means that they still have the old player ID and now, in essence, belong to nobody. Not much that can be done about it besides taming new animals. I have two cats, two wolves, and a parrot that are now just noisy furniture because I can't interact with them anymore
Try interacting with them using food, one of the 1.5 betas said that any tamed animals that lost track of their owners would just sit down and wait for any player to give them food.
