Occasionally bubble columns don't start in Ocean Ruins; they do not miss any source blocks because if you replace the magma block, they will work normally.
To reproduce;
Seed: 505904091
Coordinates: /tp 1195 48 1948There are no bubbles in the ruins of magma.

As mentioned in MCPE-33840, bubble columns can take some time to update and start producing bubbles.
You should be able to vote for "resolved" issues as sometimes they are not truly resolved. Letting us vote would let YOU know we are still having a problem. I still have this issue. Turning up tick speed doesn't help either. I have to replace the magma block to update the column.
Basically this exact issue has been fixed for under water caves/ravines, MCPE-127196, but it's not applied to ocean ruins
They can take a while to generate bubbles, did they start after a while?
