Command Blocks created as Impulse have Chain or Repeating Type

When I place a command block, it is set as Impulse, but in "previous output" it show either chain or repeating type and acts as that type. Meaning that even though it says it's impulse it acts as a chain or repeating type. Also the needs redstone sometimes does not work. Switching the type to a new type changes nothing but the color of the block.

Cannot confirm in 1.11.0.4 using Windows 10.

People are often confused by the information below the Previous Output section of a command block. What it shows is the state of the command block at the time it last executed a command successfully, not at the present time, and not with its current settings unless it has successfully executed a command in that state. I expect you're getting confused because you assume it's showing you the result and state of the previous command whether or not it was successful, but that isn't how it works.
