After the 1.13 update, the game takes approximately 3-5 minutes to start up on my daughter's account. The screen will be black for minutes and then go white, then to the Mojang splash and will work fine after this point.
Opening the game as another user however the startup is just fine.
Edit: I am using the digital version of the game.

I can confirm that this happens on the nintendo switch, my switch is up to date and unmodified. I use a game cartridge version of minecraft.

Also experiencing this. Very annoying as the game also is liable to crash (though rare for me) and then I have to go through the entire startup wait again

I think the game also doesn't load when out of focus. I checked task manager & nothing seems out of the ordinary.
