when i am indoors, even if i use a light source, hostile mobs spawn as if it was dark

This is the same for me. Even when all areas are lit, mobs such as creepers and skeletons tend to spawn consistently

In order to evaluate this report further we are going to need a clear picture or video, or a copy of a world, or a detailed description of light source placement or how you are calculating the light values for blocks where you expect monsters not to spawn.
It's really not that hard to understand. Mobs will spawn in fully lit rooms. With torches that are spaced only 5 blocks apart at times. They spawn on bottom slabs as well. I also have a room that is entirely floored with bottom slabs, just that. 20 X 20 room that is about 30 blocks high, no light, bottom slabs and mobs will spawn. I lit up the room, mobs will spawn.
@frank the frank: it sounds like you are saying you slabbed a 20x20 room and then lit the same room. If you used bottom slabs, then all of your torches must be on the walls, because you can’t place torches on bottom slabs. If the torches are on the walls as low as you can place them, then at best the 8x8 area in the middle of the 20x20 room will still be dark enough to spawn monsters. If, on the other hand, you have torches across the floor, then the floor must be covered with top or double slabs, and those are spawnable blocks. If you did use top/double slabs and then put torches only on the walls, then I would expect monsters to spawn in both setups. Based on what you’ve said, though, it does sound like monsters are spawning where they shouldn’t—unless there is a monster spawner in the middle of the room.
Does this happen everywhere in every world for you, or everywhere in one world, or just in one or a few specific places?
This report is a duplicate of either MCPE-49616 (fixed in current beta) or MCPE-302 (works as intended), but there is not enough information to determine which.
Currently playing on beta 1.16.0.59 Xbox one. I have noticed that Skeletons, creepers, spiders, zombies, villager zombies are spawning on top of torches or in high lit areas.
It happens to me too. And that's something that happened even before the Nether Update. Hostile mobs spawning in villages not really inside lit areas but they do spawn in the minimum tiny spots where light is not reaching; like the 5x5x5 houses roofs, where the ground can be lit but wrong spawning use the Y coordinate to spot hostile mobs, understanding that the ground is the one that often is being lit.
Can you be more specific? Which mobs spawn? Can you provide a screenshot?
