New music cannot be heard on mobile devices

This issue is most likely because the music pack hasn't been updated yet on Android/mobile.

It seems that there's no Pigstep's music file in the game folder (games -> com.mojang -> resource_packs -> vanilla_music -> sounds -> music -> game -> records)

Because the music in Minecraft marketplace hasn't updated. When it updates, you can download it for your mobile phone or windows.You can also check wiki to download these music and add them in Vanilla_music folder.

Well, at least I can replace a music disc file (eg. Mellohi) with pigstep, so I can listen to it in-game.

Well, already updated, but still need fixes. 

Because the underwater music is not stop playing when you already on surface

Yeah, its what AbyssDC Said. If you want music on mobile, you need to download the music pack from the marketplace (Its free). Mojang has you download it seperatly because mobile devices dont have as much space as pcs, and other devices. Music just takes up a lot of space.

Nope, I've already re-downloaded music pack and nothing has changed. I can only hear the classic C418 soundtrack but nothing from Lena Raine. Nothing new yet.

The new music bug is pretty much fixed, but this bug report also relates to ambient sounds not playing which could be the reason why this bug report is still marked as OPEN.

I Reinstalled the music, still didn't work.

Changing the path of the vanilla music does not resolve the issue. New music is still not audible. There is a silence of 5-6 minutes between two old nether sounds.
To see if the sound files are curropted, I played the the new music on the laptop after fetching the folder with iMazing app for iPhone. The sounds play properly on the laptop. So the music file is not curropted either. It's likely to be a bug in the game code.

Yes the same issue cant heard music like new nether music, I have too on my android Samsung Galaxy A40, please fix this issue thank you 🙂

Workaround: Go to storage > games > com.mojang > resource_packs. Delete the folder called music or vanilla_music. Then, reinstall Music from the marketplace.

This isn't an issue for me. I play on Android and I did similiar steps shown in this report like almost a month ago and the new music does play for me. This issue can probably be easily resolved on mobile devices.

Nisarg Patel Pigstep and all the other music discs and soundtracks are downloaded from the 'music' DLC from the marketplace. After downloading, you are sure to find this in the Minecraft music files.

This is happening to me too. Once i leave the app to respond to text messages, noise and music isnt being played! I tried restarting my phone and even redownloading the game but to no avail it doesnt work 😞
