Lava not displaying the flowing animation next to glass

Steps to reproduce
1. Place down any type of glass block to make a wall
2. Place lava so it can flow beside it downwards

Observed Results
It will show the static animation on the side touching the glass
Expected Results
Moving downwards animation is displayed

In this case the lava is flowing and should animate. In the video

we see that the far left and the next one are falling but the lava surrounded by glass is not animated as flowing (each set up has 1 source block at eye level). The 3rd acts as expected. The 4th demonstrates the same issue but just for once side of the lava.
