i had logged on to 1 of my minecraft worlds and all of the items in my inventory were missing (diamond tools, food etc.) i figured this was an accident on my part but later i logged on to a different world and my inventory was also cleared even though this was my first time playing these worlds in the 1.16.1 update please read

Did you change accounts or login status since you last played the worlds?

migrated

when i log on to my switch it has to automatically log in to my switch online and my Microsoft accounts but other than that i did not

i also just published a report of the same thing happening on my android device and i do not have to automatically sign in on that on it is always signed in

GoldenHelmet

Is "Experimental gameplay" turned on in these worlds?

migrated

experimental game play is turned on in one of the worlds but not the other

GoldenHelmet

The reason I asked about logging in and experimental gameplay is that something similar to this is known to happen in worlds where experimental gameplay is enabled. In the case of MCPE-50467 the player inventory stays the same but the world's internal ~local_player UniqueID gets corrupted and changed every time you open the world. What you are describing is more like MCPE-55815 where the game thinks that you are a different user, but that ticket is specifically for multiplayer.

I have requested your other report be linked as a duplicate of this one. There is no need to make separate reports for the same issue on different devices. You can just change the "platform" field to "multiple."

If you could answer some more questions it may help in understanding what is happening:

  • Is this happening on worlds that you had transferred between devices by uploading and downloading from a realm?

  • Does it happen on every world, or just certain worlds on each device?

  • Does it happen every time you open the worlds, or was it just once on each world?

no this is my first time playing minecraft on this device i did not transfer my worlds from my last device and i do not use realms

it happens on certain worlds on each device

it happens every time i open the worlds

GoldenHelmet

Would you be able to provide a copy of the world save? I know you can’t get it from the Switch unless you transfer it to another device via realm upload and download, but if you can access your file folders on your Android device you may be able to copy the folder of the affected world from there.

i will look if i can provide a copy of the worlds should i provide both of the worlds or just one if so which one

how do i get the world on to a file so i can attach to this platform

GoldenHelmet

You can copy the world folder into a zip file to upload it here, or if it is too big for this site you can use a file sharing site like oneDrive or a GoogleDrive, there are many others out there.

Just one world is fine.

i am going to need more detailed instructions on how to get the world into a zip file and then to here

GoldenHelmet

You can’t access the files in Switch, but I think you can on Android. On my iPhone I go to the Minecraft folder, then games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds. Each folder in that folder is a world save, you can tell which is which from the thumbnail image in each folder. You can copy the world save folder and just share that, or put the copy into a zip file with an app and share the zip file. Either way we can import it.

how do i get my minecraft world from minecraft on the android to a place where i can put it in to a file

The easiest way is probably to connect your device to a PC via USB for file transfer. You should then be able to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds and drag / copy the world folder save to your preferred file sharing site, such as OneDrive.

If you need to do this without a PC, then you can use a file explorer app on Android. Sharing entire folders from Android is a bit more difficult, but the following might help you:

Open your file explorer on Android, and navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds and select the folder for your world save (long hold.)
Choose "compress" (or similar):

[media]

This will create a zip file, which you can long press and choose "share", where you can upload the zipped file to a file sharing site.
