This is a strange one. I hope this gets fixed as it feels strange to have the regular vines sound like nether vines.

Affects 1.16.100
Affects 1.16.200.56 Beta

In snapshot 21w05a new sounds have been added for vines. Aren't no longer supposed to have the same breaking and placing sounds as grass blocks.

Affects 1.17.30

Affects 1.17.40.20

"Expected Results" should be changed to "Vines use their 21w05a sounds"

This also applies to hit.cave_vines, fall.cave_vines, step.cave_vines, jump.cave_vines, and land.cave_vines.

Note that the Expected Results of this report are outdated. On Java Edition, vines and cave vines have sounds different from both grass blocks and Nether vines. Pale Hanging Moss uses Moss sounds.
Unique vine sounds have not yet made their way to Bedrock, so these blocks incorrectly use Nether vine sounds at the moment.

Confirmed in 1.21.44
