What I expected to happen was:
When I downloaded a world on my Switch from Minecraft realms (uploaded from windows 10 version), to be able to play it.
What actually happened was:
Instead, after it downloaded, it goes to a screen saying "A newer version of the game has saved this level. It cannot be loaded", and "unable to connect to world". It won't let me play the downloaded world, even though it lets me connect to the world if I play in the realm and not download it.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Minecraft world in the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on 1.9, exit and save that world.
2. Upload that same world to Realms.
3. Go onto Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch version 1.9 and go to realms. Go to options and select download the realm.
4. Select the world you just downloaded from the realm and play it. This is when I'm met with the screen saying "A newer version of the game has saved this level. It cannot be loaded", and "unable to connect to world".

Hey Mojang, this is very annoying as I play a lot during traveling without having internet connectivity. So I used to download the map from my realm and play offline on the plane. Afterwards I upload the map again to the realm. Can you release a hotfix for this on switch?
Same issue on iOS at 1.10. I download my realm and it says it was saved with a newer version of the game when I try to load it. This forces me to stay on realms when I want to stop paying for Realms.
THIS IS NOT FIXED AS OF SEPTEMBER. closed and reopened realm and still cannot download copies and play them. Getting the same error message as above. Xbox One Minecraft version is 1.12.0 with no update available and realm saves/backups are 1.12.1 please fix!
this has not been fixed as I could go on windows 10 version right now and experience the bug as of this moment
Unfortunately we are seeing this situation again, but for a slightly different reason to the previous time. We have a valid fix to allow players to join worlds even if there is a minor version mismatch - unfortunately that fix wasn't included in this week's 1.9.0 update - we're really sorry for the inconvenience. We're aware of the situation and plan to include the fix in future updates. (Unfortunately we can't give an ETA as to when the next update will be.)
Just to confirm - this issue doesn't affect joining or playing on Realms, and normal backups can still be taken and uploaded.
