REALMS-3082

Get "Some of the selected content could not be applied" when attempt to upload add-on to Realm.

We created a world using the city Texture pack. When this world is loaded as a Realm, the city texture pack is lost and we revert to the default texture pack which is completely different.

I am also having this issue. I can no longer add or remove texture packs on my realm because I get a "some of the selected content could not be applied" error.

Having this issues with several packs the candy texture pack is my kids and nephews favorite and won't work on realms or real looks terrible in default the only realm pack I seem to be able to get to worm is the litho's pack

My son activated the "City Builders World Resources" resource pack and now cannot use his realm. It loads indefinitely and fails. When I try to deactivate the resource pack, I get an error that "some of the selected content could not be applied." The city builders pack shows as active after the error, so we cannot use his realm. Please fix this premium feature.

The fix was to enable a different resource pack to "override" the city builders pack. Now I can use the realm again. I need to stay away from city builders.

Hey guys. Apparently my ticket is a duplicate even though it's been going on sense 1.14.30. If a ticket hasn't been resolved sense then, you have to reconsidering how good you are at your job "Mojang Support"

This applies to both resource packs and behavior packs, I am unable to add either to my realm.

This issue is affecting a lot of packs in 1.20.15

Herobrine64 was on to something. I did exactly what he said and it allowed me to at least upload my world, but most of my packs and addons still didnt upload..

Possible Fix/Workaround:

What I have found is that if you are having trouble uploading specific packs, (THIS NEXT PART WILL BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT FOR SOME USERS), you will have to go to the manifest file of each addon/texturepack that gives an error and change the UUIDs using uuidgenerator net. I had to do this for 2 resource packs and 3 addons and it completely fixed all the errors that popped up when trying to upload them.

I found a temporary workaround. If you enable it as a global setting, then open the world, the resource pack loads up just fine. It’s when you try and make it specific for that world that it doesn’t work and errors out like that. I did what herobrine64 recommended, but that just resulted in the resource pack being dumped upon upload. No error, but the resource pack wasn’t enabled/activated upon actually loading it in realms. (It worked before locally but upon uploading it took off the resource pack).

this means that anyone who plays with me on realms will need to have the same resource pack enabled. Dumb, and annoying, but luckily my brother who I play with also has an iPad so he can install it easily. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to download a custom resource pack on the switch or Xbox. I’m sure there’s tutorials, but they don’t have file browsers natively to just drop in a resource pack into the Minecraft game’s folder in the system. Mojang, please fix this. Obviously there are so many other people with this issue judging by the 46+ duplicate cases linked to this one.

Ive done what Herobrine said. But I just get "An Error occured" and no more info. Whats up with Mojang/microsoft? Modding on Java is smooth like butter. Why make a worse product than the original?

just encountered this issue (switch and android versions both), have quite a few add ons running but its never been an issue til now. they all run fine on worlds, but the second i boot it up on realms, it removes one pack in particular and always that singular pack. none of the others are affected nor run bad, the world has no issues and no notable difference from adding new packs to a pre establish world, and its worked for the 7 or so other packs. there is a message every time its attempted stating "some of the selected content could not be applied."

i initially thought it might be an issue with the pack but if that were the case it should not work with worlds either

pack that isn't working is the recently made "Golem Pets Add-On" by DeepwellBridge
