Going on the assumption of mobs tripping the dispensers as suggested by Brian. I recreated the world and immediately went to it. The entrance is blocked and there were 2 witches, 4 creepers and a zombie inside.
There were still some arrows left, but they were definitely getting tripped by mobs.
First time I've ever had that happen. Also first time I've spawned that close to a jungle temple, so when I found it ( there were no mobs in it then) the mobs had already emptied the dispensers.
In conclusion, NOT A BUG.
Yeah horses are broke. Can't tame wild ones, can't ride tame ones.
Still persists in 1.8.2 pre 4.
Just visited the nether in a hardcore game, and it was insanity.
I can't believe this problem is still here after almost a year.
1.8.4 still there. Just noticed they can do physical attacks through blocks as well.
With blaze on one side of block, stand against opposite side of block and they hit you.
Might try updating your java. Current version is 7u67, your version is 7u10. That's older than 1.8 is.
Yeah, no book for me either. The invisible chests will sometimes appear, but I have not seen the book since I loaded 14w32b.

Hostile mobs also display same behavior when pursuing. I had an archer that could not go over 1 block, he just bounced.
Same here. While climbing stairs, if I rub the wall, I will get stuck. Ascending stairs heading south(in case this matters), have not tried other orientations.
Still a bug in 14w10c.
Issue: Stack a column of rock and place ladders while climbing. Ladder cannot always be placed while player is close to column. Sliding down or back will allow ladder to be placed.
Was building tower, could not place any ladders without moving back or down. Subsequent attempts to duplicate this were very random. Four 25 block towers and it only happened 3 times.
Still present 16w02a. Zombies can attack through a 2 high fence.
