I don't know much about this bug but what I know is that you should wait for the username to change from Steve to your normal username. If that does not work then try to restart Minecraft and wait again do not go past the area where it says play. it should appear if not I am not sure what the problem is. I am not a developer of the game so I don't know much of this bug but try this to see if it helps.
