Was also having this issue on MCPE on latest Android on Samsung S20. Tried reinstalling, clearing cache etc. Can confirm copying the MANIFEST-XXXX filename into the CURRENT txt/db file (which was empty) solved my issue too. Thanks for the solution!!

I don't understand what reserved, fire or the placeholder texture are.

Just an update: this hasn't just happened where we added non-generated blocks. It seems like the whole map/world was scrambled. However, noob admin here (me) found the backups in the admin console and we managed to restore to just before it happened. According to my fellow realm players, there are still some minor differences - some small areas of blocks missing etc, but it's close enough to what it was that we are willing to continue playing.

This issue can be closed, I guess, but it could be worth looking into what caused this.

This happens to me in PE and Gear VR edition too. Lots of blazes have spawned while I built a safehouse nearby. Very similar to when I bred way too many villagers. It seems like the game struggles when there are lots of mobs within rendering distance, as when I get far enough away, the lag stops.

Same sort of thing is often happening whilst placing blocks. It will place many blocks rapidly.

An issue I believe is associated with this bug - I am currently having issues holding down the trigger to pull back on the bow. It just does rapid shots of arrows with no power, rarely actually pulling back the string and holding it like I intend it to. This was not a problem before the latest update. A similar thing is happening when I try to eat food, namely carrots, which is the main food item I carry with me. I often find I need to be looking down for it to actually eat one, otherwise it is treated like I am rapidly tapping the action trigger and never actually goes through with eating a carrot. Again, this wasn't a problem for me before the latest update.

I think this could be the cause of a lot of crashing problems. I am getting a lot of crashes whilst signing in to Xbox Live in Gear VR edition and am now wondering if the Xbox app or being signed into Xbox Live is causing a lot of in-game crashes. When I first started playing the game I didn't have the Xbox app and crashes were much rarer. I have observed much more frequent crashes since the latest update though. I think the latest update created more bugs than it fixed.

Villagers haven't been closing any doors in my survival mode game regardless of whether open or closed or how many player encounters, since the latest update - gear VR edition on Samsung s7 edge

This is happening different for me. They just plain and simply aren't closing them even when they open them

Happening to me in gear vr edition. I estimate there are 50 villagers (possibly many more - they are breeding like crazy), 4 iron golems (although I saw one in one of the generated houses, so maybe 5) and it is almost unplayable. I layed around 30-40 doors throughout the village in positions to be counted as houses.
