I encounter this issue when I am playing in the Bedrock edition. Works fine in Java.
This happens to me but WITHOUT the map. When I am cooking food in a furnace it lags, then at the end the arrow is 3/4 of the way to the end without any items in the furnace.
I had this bug as well, as soon as you exit the inventory it just drops back into a random slot as if It was picked up off the ground.

FYI, still crashes with latest 1.14 minecraft, with flite package installed. OS: Fedora 28 x86_64, patched up to last week as of this writing.
Matter of fact, just enabling narrator after installing flite crashes minecraft, and it's unrecoverable until you uninstall flite, since I don't know where to manually disable narrator in a config file.
I am having an issue with realms as well. Mine is not backing up and saved data at all. It is obviously saving things, as when we log in again our progress has been saved, but I cannot download the worlds from the realm to make a backup and there is a generic “there was an issue” when looking at the saves/backups menu in realm settings. Very scary as I can’t backup my worlds in case something corrupts or happens with my realm.
