One of the Minecraft Discord's moderators gave this useful tip when I made note of the issue. Are you guys seriously recommending we all upgrade to 1050TI's to play Minecraft? Do you fully understand most your audience? Pretty sure most don't know what a GPU is. I get 200+ FPS on this hardware on the Java edition, I shouldn't have to upgrade hardware to get matching performance on a C++ port.

Also seeing this issue. RIP Servers.

To clarify this isn't necessarily the packet, but the transfer itself. Running /transferserver will also freeze the game for a couple of seconds. We ideally want transfers to happen as quickly as possible, almost as if just changing world.

Confirmed here too. We experimented, tips are awful for performance. They cause greatly reduced frame rate for the client. This is especially noticeable on a lower end PC or older mobile (tested on iPhone 5).

Once tips have been sent (commonly server networks will send 4-ish times a second), after 4-5 minutes you notice the lag greatly. To the same extent that messages are.

We had to ditch support for tips altogether.
