Still happening, just took this screenshot (1.18.12)

[media]

They can still see me thru half slabs or stairs.

The mentioned villagers are still locked on their beds and jobs but don't "exist".

However I have not noticed any new villagers that behave like that, so the best I can say is that it seems no new instances of these weirdos can happen, but those already bugged remain bugged as seen on the savegame above.

Hi, I have linked the download, I put it on my domain, its 90Mb:

https://daisuki.com.br/files/upload/Sathelland.mcworld

I left the user facing the "haunted house" where you will find 5 beds that are "claimed" but nobody ever uses them, also 3 job sites that are claimed but nobody uses them, thus I suspect 2 "ghosts" are nitwits. At the town center (bell) there are signs of the total population (beds) and jobposts. The math also adds up to 5 missing villagers.

Like I said not only I searched down all caves, but I also made a copy in creative and removed all blocks slowly (so the villagers won't die) to search for the missing villagers and never found them. Yet, they count towards the village population, use those 5 beds and 3 jobs. Most of them were already leveled when they went missing.

Maybe this is related to

MCPE-151849

Since it does not seem to be a visual glitch, if those villagers are walking around sunk 1m deep, they might end up falling in some lit cave under the town. I checked these caves a couple of times looking for them though.

(I know this is not the place but Jira support is non-existent and the "administrator of this Jira forum" "has no contact configured", question: anyway to remove the two-step authentication, I do not have the authentication app and when I tried using it, it does not link to this account, so I am down to backup codes)

This bug should be on a priority fix. It ruins survival. Iron doors are VERY important for villages in survival and this bug ruins it. FIX IT ASAP PLEASE.

Noticed it on 1.13, still happening 1.13.1

This bug is back on 1.13 and is not fixed as of 1.13.1 (win10 at least)

This bug is not fixed, they can still at least close. Windows 10 with 1.13.1

I can confirm, quite annoying, Villagers can close (don't think they can open) powered iron doors. My villages ALL have iron doors powered by underground redstone connected to a single lever which I can use to close all doors when a raid start. Now the villagers will start closing the doors and lock themselves in, in a few minutes.

And here we are at 1.2.3 and it has not been fixed, neither is the fact the calculated maximum chunks is still broken. I am still capped at 16 chunks on W10, meanwhile Java Edition + Optifine is now supporting 64 chunks. Stop being ridiculous Mojang!

Here, this will illustrate EVERYTHING: https://youtu.be/HD7Pm4GseZA

Shows the game allows me only 16 chunks
Shows it totally ignored options.txt twice (it does read, the display shows whatever I endered, but the game RENDERS only 16)
Shows my systems screen to prove my specs
Kicker: Shows JAVA unmodded allowing me to go to 32 at 60FPS

Still affects me the exact same way on 1.2 and 1.2.1

Bemoty, does it display on the settings or you found that out editing options.txt? The point of this bug report is not what the game "thinks" you can do but how it prevents you from tweaking options.txt to go higher

A problem that I see is that you DONT interact with villagers as often, even with trades, early on. Say I start a new game near a village, I am not going to do trades with them until I have stuff.

Villagers should be always tagged as "do-not-despawn", after all, they don't spawn freely as other friendly mobs.

I read this bug was fixed on 1.0.4 ... but when will we get 1.0.4 on PC?

Ok something I observed in the past 2 MONTH, currently at 1.0.3 (Win10):

I was almost confident that once "really" marked not to despawn, cows/sheeps/etc would stay because my both my main farm and my secondary farm (distant ones) didn't experience any loss for nearly a month.

Well, today half of my oldest farm vanished.

So I am 100% sure it is load/save related. Also, the "vanishings" NEVER happen while playing (moving around, moving to/from nether etc), ONLY after a LOAD

Maybe something on the save file compress that doesn't happen every time?

Adam, I actually am really hopefully about this bug getting priority soon, because they CANNOT release villager traders while this bug exists, because villagers vanishing with good trades, specially after you level their trades, would make the whole community come with stone and axe after Mojang. So I think this bug will get fixed before or at the same time villager trades are released, and I feel that is close.

Meanwhile, I agree a bug that is 2 years "open" is unforgivable, specially because it makes you NEED to leave "enable cheats" on to play on survival since your animals keep vanishing and you need to respawn them manually

I increased rendering distance to 24 chunks and noticed this change on this bug: the windows are now rendering higher than the other blocks. Still not all the way to the top.

Rendering problem of high blocks seen at night.

This bug totally breaks survival and it is open for nearly 2 years? that tells me too much about how Mojang is bug-fixing this game.
