It's the other way around, Auldrick. The recipe requires a double slab and we only have stone blocks.
Hey Max, you should put this as a separate issue, as it is unrelated to mine. Make sure to be a little clearer and put it on the correct version - bedrock or java?
Also cakes and rails
I'm pretty sure the outline of the block changes in anticipation of where it would be placed. So if you had scaffolding in the off hand and an item without a right click function in the main hand (or an empty main hand) it would display the full hitbox and place it accordingly, just how it works with scaffolding in the main hand.
Yep, that's the current behaviour. What I'm suggesting is whenever a right click (default controls) would place scaffolding, it uses the full block hitbox, i.e. when the off-hand has scaffolding and the main hand has either nothing, or an item that doesn't have a right click function.
I can't think of any reason you'd want to use the old hitbox when placing scaffolding, as the new placing functionality covers any uses it would've had. But there may be ones I haven't thought of.
The full hitbox is only active when scaffolding is in the main hand, to make it easier to aim at the surface you want to place the scaffolding on. All other blocks and items will use the form fitting hitbox.
I would like to contest this. Firstly, this is valid as a bug report because it aims to fix a relatively small problem that has a major impact on creative builds. Secondly, this isn't a problem in Bedrock edition (and the legacy consoles) and since the two versions aim to reach parity, Bedrock's method (which doesn't interrupt players) should be ported to Java.
I think it would be funny if the death message was changed to "Player is now a s'more"
This happens in 1.8.8 too.
Update: it seems that it's a problem with my world, not my edition, where every entity is laggy. My swimming and climbing animations are delayed so that's why it still thinks it's climbing.
Don't worry about it lol, it hasn't happened again
