Contrary to other people's experiences, my skin does not include the transparent pixels in the animated preview or in the skin display.

I have also had this problem, and it’s not only after dying, I just had it happen and I hadn’t died yet in that world. The issue has happened in multiple worlds (one world I was stuck 15000+ blocks from my base). It doesn’t appear to matter how many portals you have, I’ve had it happen with lots and just now with only one portal. And there doesn’t seem to be any reason why it happens, it’s completely random.
