I have noticed that when I drag the honey block from the crafting grid into my inventory, this bug doesn't happen. When I Shift + click it, I experience the bug a lot, but not consistently.
No, it sounds fine now in the latest version.

I had this happen to me in 15w31a, only in the Nether, and then not afterwards. I've currently been through snapshots since then up to 15w35a without incident. Signs in the Overworld were not affected. Weird.
Searching is really not user-friendly, btw. I try in earnest to find my issues before reporting them, but there's a huge gap between gamers who know the game very well (but aren't programmers or database operators) and whoever it is that understands your wonky bug tracker system here. I think a more user-friendly bug tracker interface would yield more useful (and less redundant) results.
So drop everything and get on that. (Ugh. I know, I know.)
I experience this even with render distance of 32 chunks, in 15w34a. I only noticed it for the first time, however, in 15w32a. I have lots of item frames, so this gives me the impression that something recent might have changed to affect large render distances, whereas this wasn't a problem before for such render distances. (If that even makes sense.)
Ha ha, Kumasasa, you are earning serious karma in this job. We all love you! Must be mind-numbing, but so necessary.
This still happens to me in 15w34a.
I've made yellow and white shields, and each has spontaneously turned into a "black shield" with a display color that changes every time it takes a hit (melee or projectile).
Damn it--I search for stuff before commenting, but I really can't work the search module on this bug tracker. Sorry, I stumbled upon this already-reported issue later. How do I delete this bug report? I hate wasting your time!
This is the single best bug fix I have seen in MC history! It was totally changing the way I played for weeks, as mounts were just really impractical unless I spent most of my time carving paths through every freaking forest ahead of time, which meant I couldn't feasibly explore on horseback / muleback. Which was a huge waste of that whole game feature (one of my favorite features, btw). Yay!
This is happening to me as well, since 14w19a.
The duplicate is because I myself reported this bug, had some kind of computer problem, then reported it again a few minutes later. Did this duplication somehow cause it to fall into limbo?
I agree, the stone double slab would look better as the current "bug" block.
D'oh, I'm so sorry. This was my first bug report, and I was trying to search the bug reports before writing up a new one, but I was using the internet on my phone to do it and didn't realize I wasn't being efficient. I'll be a good boy next time, I promise!

Simplest workaround is to drag the honey from the crafting grid instead of shift + clicking (or L2 + A or whatever your controller settings are). This never happens when you manually drag the honey.
