Same thing. I've attached an image showing the seed and location. I boated away from there a ways and then boated back and it stopped loading. Those chunks were initially visible when I restarted the game.
This was a world I've been playing through several patches (starting at the one where seed consistency was announced). I tried recreating the world and went to the same location and it didn't crash (so far...).
Maybe related - along the way to the crash location, in the desert, there were Azalea trees, but in the recreation they are no longer there.
Upon checking further, all my item frames are missing and attempting to place an item frame leads to this crash:

For me, playing singleplayer, the bug seems to be fixed. Since the update to 1.14.2 pre release 2, I have yet to see it occur again.
Happened to me as well. I went through mine a second time and this time I could see myself being pushed off the platform as the platform loaded fast enough the 2nd time to see the glitch. I was partially embedded in the platform as I was being steadily shoved off.
I have also seen this with the end portal taking me to the end - I end up stuck in the obsidian and had to switch to creative mode to get out of it, and a nether portal taking me to the overworld where I was stuck in the ground and again had to use creative mode to get out.
Can confirm this is still present in the 1.14.1 Java edition while playing singleplayer. Coming from the nether to the overworld triggers it sometimes. I also saw it when returning from the End - I have a bed near my end portal and had slept there because a prior trip to the end had ended up with an end gateway murdering me (separate bug). When I returned from the end the second time, the area was dark again (it had also glitched before coming there from my nearby nether portal - I had fixed some of the nearby lighting issues so I was startled to see it dark again).
One more thing (I hope): While I was testing my nether portals I noticed a possibly related problem. For some reason the portal linkage would get scrambled sometimes. I have multiple portals that are multiple chunks apart in the nether (and in the overworld of course) and for some reason when leaving one of them in the overworld it would redirect me to the wrong portal in the nether even though the correct gate was at least 500 blocks away.
Related to this was going through the nether portal and ending up "stuck" in the overworld, with the F3 key showing my location as being at the previous overworld location I had been testing, but the world refusing to render. After playing with the chunk rendering distance I was able to see that I was in the correct location (not according to F3) but was stuck in something and the chunks nearest me would not load.
Copied this over from MC-793 since this seems to be the right place.
This bug is now present in 1.8-pre3 since dinnerbone fixed MC-3. I tested my portal created in a snapshot prior to the 1.8 release, and I now take damage after I get to the nether, depending on which of the two blocks I stand in when entering from the overworld.
Things to note: Prior to the fix for MC-3 when entering the other dimension when using a portal, you would still be in the portal, now you are no longer in the portal. I believe that this is the source of the damage bug as the player placement is now outside the portal and sometimes this might be inside a block. This could be fatal for the first trip to the nether if you're over lava so I really hope this bug gets escalated!
Both portals are facing north-south. When I enter the overworld portal standing on the left side while facing south, I exit the nether portal on the left side but one block over and forward, facing north. If I enter the overworld portal standing on the right side while facing south, I exit the nether on the left side, but TWO blocks over and forward, which for this portal was a wall so I took damage. My portals are the traditional size of 5 tall by 4 wide with the interior of the portal being 3 tall by 2 wide.
--and--
And here is some more information - One of my portals in the nether had the four blocks immediately in front of the portal (at the same level as you would be standing on the obsidian of the portal floor) filled with a half slab, which means before this breakage, you would exit the portal and then rise up a half slab height. After the bug was introduced, you now go somewhere else, which in my case is below the portal and into the lava pool underneath 😞

I can report something very similar. Somehow a baby zombie pigman became agro'd on me, I ran around like mad trying to get pigmen to despawn, but as I entered new areas, new pigmen would spawn and they would spawn angry. I even tried digging into a mountain to get away from them, but then it spawned some in my tunnel and those were angry.
I also tried letting them kill me, but that did nothing to fix things.
Squid killed me while in my boat in 1.8-pre3.
Confirmed. Looking downward works, level or upward doesn't.
Still true in 14w34b and I'll also confirm that it occurs with zombies. The one zombie I ran into that moved properly happened to have on Depth Strider III boots...
Confirmed. I loaded 14w32b and my chests disappeared, reverted back to 14w32a and they reappeared.
I tried placing chests down in 14w32b and they appear fine when placed but after I log out and then back in again they disappear.
A bit more information as I'm playing (back to 16 chunk render distance). The camera is noticeably jerky when I rotate my view about. Jerky might be a better way to describe the whole experience. 1.18 was smooth as silk.
