I am also having the same issue on PS4. Hopefully they fix it ASAP. I just want to play minecraft with buddies of mine on different systems.
I was automatically linked to this ticket after I posted my own issue. I bought the digital version a little under a month ago as an upgrade from the demo version. I have tried reinstalling it twice. My game will randomly freeze while playing splitscreen an I will be forced to close the application. Sometimes minecraft will not start up at all. For me, it stays stuck on the white minecraft screen with the loading bars, when this issue happens it will not load at all and I cannot play even after waiting for more than a half hour. I am on a ps4 pro with version 2.10 and the latest update from July 2020.
My entire system can allocate up to 12 GB of Ram but I only added up to 6. Here is the updated screenshot.

07/11/2020-4:40AM EST - I did want to provide further update - after doing some more testing in my XP farm. It appears that if i change the game engine settings to use up to 6GB of ram versus default settings.. that it fixes this issue. The best that I can figure .. is that game code optimization and hardware efficiency are 100% linked. And with a 2GB setting (with higher textures) it causes the game code to miss out some of the instruction. At the current setting (allocating 4.5 GB so far of ram (out of 6 avail) - it does not miss any instructions - and repairs as it should.
Ok thanks
Yes, I am Spanish and I thought that the platform also worked in the same language, that is why I have translated it
