Seems like they move very fast in water. It's pretty funny to watch them skyrocket upwards 😛
I believe this is intentional, so that it can fit inside 3 block tall 1 block wide gaps to catch the player.
Can confirm. I had to drop my diamonds, pick them back up, put them in a chest and then take them back out to get an advancement. Similar thing happened with crafting recipes, they were very delayed as well.
I find this to be an issue as well. Look at the 3 attached videos on the duplicate report; the hoglins are clearly attacking from up to THREE BLOCKS away, AND behind a wall. I cannot imagine that this is what Mojang intended, and I hope they find a good compromise since i know there were issues in the past. But as it stands the attack hitbox makes no sense and is very frustrating to try and combat.
this happened to me in 20w16a. What was REALLY strange though, was how I mounted another strider (who remained fast), but he refused to climb on blocks. I dismounted him near the "shore" and was thrown directly into the lava 😞
