Update, on another world I play on - standard world, creative mode - again wandering trader has indeed spawned in. So it might be something to do with that specific world being an older world maybe? As this creative mode world was made a couple updates ago
Wandering traders and pillager patrols have been long gone from my survival world for years now, but I never modified my game or anything. So might be a different matter
@IMattew have you had any changes to your world at all? Is it an older one etc? Any other insights to maybe find a common cause/problem might be able to figure out what's going on:)
Nope, nothing like that. Full survival, always opened in Xbox Bedrock edition. It has been on a realm before though which is the closest thing I could think of. There has been some multiplayer on it as well, but not much

Comment from the previous comment, this seems to only be affecting old worlds created on the bedrock edition of the game. Old worlds previously created on Xbox 360 edition and Xbox one edition (these are what I have tested) seem to spawn the wandering trader fine.
Might need to update the name of this, as going on a friends old superflat creative world, in older chunks wandering traders do in fact seem to spawn which is very interesting. Might just be an error within my own world? Be interesting to see if any one else is having wandering trader spawn issues
Updating as from testing, still affects the current version 1.17.10
Looking at it further today, if you place a water source above the waterlogged cobweb, that seems to fix things. So good as a temporary fix. Takes the drowned about 10 more seconds to get into the killing chamber, but for now this solution works well (especially in my case)
I have also had this issue on Xbox. It tends to be when there are several mobs stuck in the 1 cobweb. Expanding it to have several cobwebs helps, but overtime they all get stuck. They seem to all drop down very slowly as I sometimes get a bunch of them come into my killing chamber at once, then non for ages, but they are still spawning however. Not good when I have got 3 zombie spawners lol
Ive had this issue happen to me. It is constantly the same 2 which keep going missing. I thought it was lightning at first but I've put a lightning rod down but they still keep disappearing after an AFK session
