Platform: PlayStation 5 (Minecraft Bedrock – native PS5 version)
Realm type: Private Realm (paid subscription)
World type: Local world stored on PS5 system storage
World size: ~377 MB
Issue:
Uploading / replacing a world on a Realm from PS5 consistently fails with the generic message “An error occurred”.
The failure is non-deterministic: sometimes it happens around mid-upload, other times at 100%, after long upload times (up to ~1 hour per attempt).
Important clarification:
This ticket is marked as resolved/duplicate, but the problem is NOT resolved in practice. It remains a critical and reproducible issue for PS5 players, and it is still widely reported by the community.
What has been tested (none of this works):
Full game reinstall on PS5
Backup to PS Plus cloud, complete removal of local saves, restore from cloud
Auto-sync disabled to avoid cloud conflicts
Multiple networks tested:
Fiber connection
5G hotspot
Slower mobile connections (including forced LTE / 4G)
Realm closed and reopened before upload
Multiple upload attempts (over many hours total)
Result:
The upload always fails, regardless of network conditions or reinstall/restore attempts.
Why this is a serious issue on PS5:
On PlayStation 5:
Local worlds cannot be exported
External servers cannot be used
Realms is the ONLY supported way to move a world off the console
When Realms upload fails, the world is effectively trapped on the PS5 with no supported workaround. This makes the issue far more severe on PlayStation than on other platforms.
Community evidence (ongoing, not historical):
This is not an isolated case. Multiple recent community reports describe the same behavior:
Reddit threads reporting PS5 Realms uploads failing with “An error occurred”, often at 100%:
https://www.reddit.com/r/realms/
(search terms: PS5 realm upload error, an error occurred, replace world fails)
These reports confirm that the issue is still active and affecting many users.
Impact as a paying customer:
In my case, I am paying monthly for a Realm subscription, but the core advertised functionality (uploading and using my own world) does not work on PS5.
If this issue is not addressed, the only option left is to request a refund, since the service cannot be used as intended on this platform.
Request:
Please acknowledge that this issue is still unresolved for PS5 users
Improve the world upload handling and reliability on PlayStation 5
Or at minimum provide proper error reporting instead of a generic failure message
This is not a user-side configuration issue. After extensive testing, the problem is clearly platform-side and within Mojang’s Realms implementation on PS5.

But what I do not understand is a Windows or game problem which of the 2, also if it is a game problem if they will solve it in patches or in the next update of 1.18 ?.
But if a Windows problem then how would the problem be solved or where do I know about my error with the games?
Thanks for the help EVGENSYPERPRO, if through your last comment I found more people that the same thing happens to them, but what does it mean when they put the following phrase in the "SOLVED" problems because they have not solved the problem, or does it refer to What is taking them into account?
If in the description of the error it does not say, I have Windows 11
If there are too many errors with the audio, it happens to me too, but it gets jagged or mutes.
If there are errors with the sound, my game audio is choppy or stuck and also stops listening at certain times.
It is annoying to play with bad audio and sorry for my English
I'm having the same issue.
I tried holding the key combination (L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + Options + Touch Pad) several times, but it's not working.
I'm running the game in PS4 and the version is v1.16.61.
Can you help me?
I already looked for it and the solution does not appear, apparently there was something similar and a user deleted the answers
I wanted to join a world of a friend, but when I want to enter I always get a mistake, in that world I had already entered, but now he won't let me in anymore
Tengo el mismo problema ¿Alguien ya lo solucionó?
Yes I have the same isue and it has nosense because I can use experimental gameplay(for example the structure block) but I can't use addons or any behaviour pack
Please Mojand do something!
skeletons and creepers also look fine
The bug still exists inside minecraft 15w42a, the reason Mojang decided may be related to the java multicast problem of settings the TTL to zero without it, http://stackoverflow.com/q/139909/1542723, however Mojang can use ipv6 multicast addresses to fix the real problem instead of turning the ipv6 stack of
Reproducing this problem is easy on modern windows systems by turning of the ipv4 stack and leaving ipv6 on, this way your pc will only use your native IPv6 connection, if ipv6 doesn't work correctly in your home/city/country, it doesn't mmean its broken for us al,even more, some ONLY have ipv6 access and they NEED to tunnel their ipv4 over their IPv6 connection. Because minecraft turns IPv6 completly of, they also BREAK the way the OS can tunnel data over an IPV6 only network to the IPv4 part of the world, breaking something what worked for them in the past.
IPv6 has worked for Minecraft in the past and mojangs decision to disable ipv6 broke for many ipv6 only networking users with the proper transition techniques in place.
For your information, the method to connect to IPv4 address from IPv6 only areas is called NAT64 (rfc6146), this works by translating the IPv4 address from the target to IPv6 addresses representing the same address, this way the IPv6 host only sees connectivity on the IPv6 network and CANNOT use IPv4 sockets to the outside world, even though he can connect to IPv4 host fine thanks to the NAT64. Minecraft CANNOT use this with the setting of disable IPv6, something mojang didn't see coming when they disabled it
It ocurr in the 15w31a in a server hosted in ubintu. I will try to rec a video with the bug.
Downloaded now for android and the game even no starts. How can you have so many people with this problem and only send us read the forum, without at least commit to a resolution?!
