Still happens in the latest snapshots, how has this been in the game for so long..

Working as intended, blocks which do not burn from fire will not be lit from there sides, however blocks which can burn such as wood can be lite from there side.

The enchantment doesn't show the fire or inflict fire damage, however if you kill a chicken with fire aspect i and ii the chicken will still drop cooked chicken. Confirmed

This may be completely intentional, but yes i can confirm this.

Also it seems that having such big portals may increase the spawn rate of the zombie pigmen, which in my opinion isn't intentional.
