Your settings were most likely lost and then restored to default when you deleted .minecraft. Try reconfiguring your graphics settings, increasing them should return your graphics to what you're familiar with.

This is intentional and has been the case for a long time. To obtain, either fetch it via the normal route or look into the appropriate /give command for your version.

Tested with 5 cape variants, consistent throughout. Launcher is unaffected.

@unknown for future reference, these requests pertain to Mojira itself. This is the typical route taken to delete an account here, if they mention specifically an account on Minecraft (or one of it's sister games) you may refer them to the appropriate support routes.

Hi there. It is likely your username has been changed within the last 30 days, which prevents you from picking a new one.
If this is not the case, please search here and ensure your ideal name is available.

If the issue persists, please do contact Mojang Support - however do note on occasion names are blocked by Mojang, meaning you can't take them.

Thank you.

It is most likely a temporary issue on Mojangs end, try send the request again in a few hours and make sure your email is not blocking Mojang emails.

If it persists, do take Avoma's advice as support is capable of solving the issue (perhaps your mail servers need updating?)

If the name has been used within the last 37 days, then it's still blocked. If however this period has exceeded, it is most likely the username is blocked by Mojang - typically for being offensive.

In rare cases like "bird" it is not obvious why the name is blocked, but is most likely due to psudo-deletion (refunding payment)

Regardless, this isn't a bug and you'll unfortunately have to pick a new username.

You are indeed correct in believing the "change profile name" option should be below the edit password.

If it was there before, I'd suggest signing in and out, clearing browser cookies & restarting your browser. If the issue persists it may well be a bug, however it displays for me so I think it's specific to yourself. If you have changed your name in the last 30 days, this may have caused the issue.

Hope you sort this out!

Can +1 this issue, case sensitivity cannot be adjusted without first switching to a new alias.
If I wished to go from "Joshua" to "joshua" I'd need to pick a new name, and then after waiting 30 days back to Joshua with my new preferred capitalization.

With a spike in recent exploits to claim names prior to them releasing to the public (you're usually given 7 days to change back before someone else can take the username) this issue is more significant and should be resolved.

Hi there Finn, your issue is non-specific and therefor difficult to resolve, however I would suggest uninstalling Minecraft completely (wiping all game-related files too, especially if you used mods) and reinstalling. If the issue persists do let me know & share more specifics (Windows/Linux/Mac version, MC version, etc)

Many thanks!

Hi there Robert, Skaej1239 isn't an official helper (just like myself) and most likely incorrectly replied (perhaps intentionally?) with that.

I second Oakstar's thoughts, I used to experience this issue on an old laptop I had. It is most likely your system disables your touchpad/mouse momentarily whilst typing (perhaps your device isn't intended for gaming?)

Search phrases like "mouse won't move while pressing keys" may find an appropriate solution for you as I can't link third party sites.

If this doesn't help do reply notifying!

Hi there, Mojang accounts are discontinued and you are prompted instead now to create a Microsoft account.
You can find the button to do so here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/login

This works exactly like making a Mojang account did, but it's through Microsoft now as it's safer.

Hope this helps!

Hi there Oskar, this is the bugs report forum and nobody here is equipped to alter your username unfortunately.
You may however request this through Mojang's official support route: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new
However I can't promise you'll hear back before the 31 days is up.

If your username is offensive or invalid (too long, containing invalid characters etc) I'm sure they'll be happy to amend it for you.

In any case, a months not too bad!

Hi there! I'm just a volunteer (official help on it's way!), if your request is to delete your account on Mojira forums (where we are currently) then I can't aid you there and you'll have to wait for that to be achieved, but if you mean on Minecraft itself then please visit:
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new
and flag your issue as account support > delete account.

Mojang tends to offer account deactivation first but if you're pursuing a full deletion (inc. all data) you'll need to specify & potentially reply to the auto response saying so too.

Hope you get this sorted!
