There is currently an exploit running rampent that causes people to be chat/mp banned by the automated systems.

technically not a bug and while i dont speak for Mojang im sure they are working on resolving this and restoring the restricted accounts.

Mud is not a full block, therefore falling blocks break on it.
Freefalling blocks are not a thing in Java Edition, it is therefore inteded behavior.

If you wanna be technical about it the following mobs will be marked persistent:

• are a passenger to another mob, a boat or a minecart.^[7]

• spawned as part of a generated structure.

• have had something added to their inventory, including having something dispensed upon them (such as a saddle) or something they have picked up, but never for anything they spawn with. This includes dolphins playing with items^[verify].

• have been named with a name tag. However, one created from a renamed spawn egg does despawn as normal.

• have had the NBT tag {PersistenceRequired: 1b} set on them, whether by being summoned with it, or by being set manually with /data merge or /data modify. This is also the only way to prevent wandering traders from despawning.

The behavior of the sulfur cube might look close to „picking up inventory“ but infact it is similar to the endermans despawning behavior. The Enderman is prevent from despawning if they hold a block. Similarly the Sulfurcube reasonably should only be prevented from despawning when holding a block and after removing the block is fair game to be despawned again.

Could you share your minecraft log files? this bug isnt really reproduceable.

1. Press `Windows + R` on your keyboard, you should see a new window pop out

2. In that new window, type `appdata` and press Enter. You should now be in your file explorer.

3. Double click the `roaming` Folder than the `.minecraft` folder

4. In here under the folder “logs” one will be named “latest” you should upload it so we can get the full picture of any issues

have you verified you might not have a sticky key?
the correlation between holding for long time and than continuing the walk for longer seams particularly odd and strikes me as maybe your key just being sticky?

Search for “keyboard test online” in google and look for one that shows you if they key is pressed rather than released.

Hold the key down and verifiy that on those sort of tests the key does infact release the moment you do on your keyboard.

Dosnt neccesary seams like a bug too me,
All Mobs can despawn if they arent Nametagged, Sulfur Cubes should be no different.
If anything that one from a bucket that has no block in it dosnt despawn is the bug, rather than they can despawn when they dont have one.

Reproduceable only under following conditions:
- A block was actively mined and interrupted before going into spectator
- It has to be the same block
- Block can not be mined, the issue is purely visual

Hello, just trying to narrow stuff down,
while you might think you have 4GB can you verify this in the task manager? Sometimes ram can get damaged. (third tab from the top, in task manager) if it shows less than 4 one of your ram sticks has perhaps been damaged if you use multiple. It is honestly suprising to me you only have 8Gb in the first place given how Windows 11 already needs 4GB to run, if 1 of the the (i assume) 2, 4GB sticks was damaged somehow it could mean there is nothing left to start minecraft

Considering the ammount of setup required for this in survival (getting a sulfur cube, getting packed ice, getting a mace, getting the enchantments on the mace) i do not feel like this is overpowered. But even if it is this wouldnt be a bug and should be posted on the minecraft feedback forums.

Can not reproduce, could you elaborate on the steps you used to make this happen?

This does not seam like a bug to me and simply the intended outcome for a fast sliding catagory cube.

Fast Sliding Blocks drastically reducing a cubes ability to bounce. Could you elaborate why you believe this to be a bug? It even still takes away mace durability
