@Jaron thank you so much for the tip. Even though I am playing on Nintendo Switch, I decided to insist doing that. I reloaded my world 3 times and I minimized the game, opened the eShop. The first two times I could hear some ingame sounds but no image.

In my third attempt, I loaded my save and as soon as the "Generating World" popped up, I opened the eShop. Waited for a few seconds, returned to the game, and then opened the eShop again. When i returned to the game, it had succesfully loaded after almost a month stuck in the same place. I wasn't dead and I could keep all my items (Elytra, rare armor etc). 

Thanks again for the tip, and I also suggest other Nintendo Switch users to do the same. Thank you Mojira Mods and Users who helped me and many others through this, and to the Minecraft Team for the patch 🙂

Sadly this issue hasn't been resolved in the latest patch. I feel really bad, knowing I lost an almost 2 year old world because of a bug.

Thank you very much for the information. It would be really nice to recover my world, even if access to the End Gateway is unavailable for the time being. However I have a question, does this mean I need to pay to create a Realm in order to fix this issue? If so, I think I would rather wait for the patch 😞

I agree 100% with this. Ever since they disabled auto-save on the Switch, the game has gotten heavier and slower to load certain parts of the map. Any means of transportation - minecart, boat, Elytra - end up hitting invisibe walls and every damn time, the auto-save icon is there. And whenever it pops up, the game gets slower and fps drops to 30 around buildings/villages/etc.

Sadly this is on the Switch so I am replying on a patch from Mojang.

My world is 250hr+ and it doesn't load. Our only hope is a patch.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any Texture Packs or Behavior Packs installed on this game, it's as Vanilla as it gets. Regardless, I removed all packs available from Settings - Storage and sadly it didn't work.

Same here. And the weird thing is, the same area was perfectly fine before the update. I am really sad how the game is getting worse after every new update that comes out.

This has happened to me. I turned off my Switch and restarted the game. Now I can't reload my save at all, so I am stuck in the loading screen (the one with the game tips). No backup either because I don't have a Nintendo Online Subscription, so I can't upload saves to the cloud

I am experiencing the same issue, but on the Nintendo Switch Edition. Stuck in the End and now I can't reload my save.
