As a character, I have the same bug sometimes.
Last time it happened was:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB7jc4UcWKs
in this video, I use only mouse and forward key (W), and the jump key 1 time to go back to mossy carpet to repeat the bug once again.
Minecraft 1 20 Pre release 2 - Vanilla server (multiplayer)ย
Use only mouse and forward key (W), while walking in water with slab on lower half, and a bloc in the way = auto jumping.

How it could be a duplicate of "MC-93554,"? In MC-93554, there isn't any enderchest, and I am not even sure it is the same problem. ๐
Search engine didn't give me any good result. But it could have lead to MC-1559 if I didn't write "ender" in the research for my enderchest problem.
Nowadays bots are always wrong. xD But this kind of message will make upset good players...(the ones that come here to report a bug, for free)
Okay, then it is not a bug... it's a feature. Thanks for answers, sorry to have waste some of your time.
Same goes for normal chests. It could be intended (and not be a bug), as it fits the mechanic in 16x16 px. But if someone wants to put 2 different colors for the top border and box border, then there is this bug.
And by the way, if you write something on the enderchest texture, it will appears backwards in the game as shown on this screenshot:
[media]@@unknown, ohhh right, I forgot to tell that the server where I'm playing is not totally vanilla.... If I can trust "https://minecraft-statistic.net/" it seems that it is "CraftBukkit on Bukkit 1.15.2-R0.1-SNAPSHOT".
My client is vanilla, no modification. (not even Optifine ๐)
This bug is still here in 1.15.2.
The problem seems to be from the overworld portal.
Place some blocs in front of (or behind) the portal:
in 1.12 I noticed that putting slabs or walls in front of the portal will affectย the Facing of the player when he crosses the portal. => it was good, I was able to manage by myself if I want it to return the Facing of the player while crossing.
in 1.15.2 I noticed that it's plein blocs (I tried only with blue terracota and stonebricks) that change the Facing~. However, the behaviour isn't as it was in 1.12: in 1.12 each slab was turning the Facing by 90 or 180 degree (I don't remember, but it was consistent). So, putting 2 slabs on feet level + 2 labs above the head level would not change the orientation.
=> Actually in 1.15.2 it seems that if you place 1 bloc (or 2 or 3 or 4 or..etc), it will reverse the Facing. Impossible to control it. :'(
However, depending on what coordinates the overworld portal is, placing blocks in front of the portal will change nothing.
If you have such bugged portal, try moving it by 1 block in a direction, and it may be kind of solved.
Affects 1.13 pre-2 too. ๐
This bug also happens when i modify my ressource-pack list. ๐
Greymagic27_[M] asked "steps to reproduce and observed VS expected results"
1. Open Minecraft.
2. load any world with any version between 1.20.5 and now.
3. Hold a bow, and any tipped arrow, in any game mode.
4. Shot the arrow on any block (not in the void).
5. If you load a resource pack (this one for exemple) with a modified assets\minecraft\textures\entity\projectiles\tipped_arrow.png you will see that this texture is no more used, it's the assets\minecraft\textures\entity\projectiles{}arrow.png that is used instead.
I join you my own arrow.png and tipped_arrow.png, then you can use them to easily notice what texture is used by Minecraft.
