Confirmed using my texture pack, too. It's very hard to see through default pack due to it being symmetrical; but is clearly visible through texture pack.

I can also confirm this behavior not only just on sandstone, but also on quartz chiseled. Its notable when using texture pack. The texture file still remains on .jar file, so I feel this is unintended.

Confirmed in latest snapshots (14w02a~14w06b). Happening with glowstones also. (Not the direct block light from glowstones, but the skylight is 'leaking' through them. Also MC-13574 seems related with this issue.

More on 'Wrong location!' error message. This indeed caused every paintings on the map dropped. I believe this surely has to do with this incorrect placements.

@Kumasasa No, it was underground and no pig was there. I never spawn them and both grass and light was unavailable.
