Confirmed still an issue in 1.0.6 on Win 10 64 bit.
This issue may need to be reopened for v1.0.5 Win 10 64 bit... Overworld mobs are still spawning in newly explored areas although they are spawning at much reduced rates than we were seeing before. I created a new world today to test an enderman farm. Blocked out 144 blocks from island, then created a spawning pad at least 144 blocks out. Enderman spawn there at higher rates as expected, however overworld mobs also do spawn at times. I've seen skeletons, creepers, spiders and zombies so far.
Thanks for attaching the test world. Please also note the following items in addition to your observations:
If villagers on the ground are released from the enclosure, they will attempt to path-find to the village above walking at a fast pace.
If a brown-coated villager is placed on the ground near crops, he will not harvest but will rather continue path-finding at a fast pace making villager powered auto-farms impossible.
Even with only 5 villagers in the sky village, Iron golems will spawn in the village in the sky if there are at least 5 villagers below. (you'll need to add spawnable blocks for the golems in the middle of the village to observe)
After some testing, I'd suggest updating the default villager priorities in vanilla Minecraft to first, plant crops (if enough available in inventory) second, share food with hungry villagers (if sufficient food in inventory), third, harvest crops. Please comment with discussion on this issue. SuperGeniusJeb - are you suggesting that users update their own json files, or were you suggesting a global update to json files with the release of an upcoming version? Sorry, I'm new to submitting feedback on this site, but have worked with updates to various software releases extensively in the past.
Confirmed to affect 1.0.4 on Win 10 64 bit. Not only slimes, but zombies, skeletons, spiders and creepers. Haven't seen witches yet but assume affects them too.
Confirmed affects 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 on Win 10 64 bit. I haven't experienced having to open then close, then reopen, but do experience last locked trade not unlocking. If multiple trades locked, only last trade remains locked after villager clears trades. This behavior occurs consistently every time villager unlocks.
I can confirm this remains an issue in 1.0.5 within explored chunks. The issue is however resolved within unexplored (or newly explored) chunks. (Only enderman and no overworld mobs will spawn in newly explored chunks) If this is a biome issue, does the code allow for previously explored chunks in existing worlds to be updated with the correct biome type when opened in an upcoming version?
Confirmed to affect v1.0.5 on Win 10 64 bit. Brown robed villagers continue to not be able to pick up wheat seeds in this version. If a harvestable wheat plant is within range, a villager with an empty inventory will harvest the wheat and then pick up the wheat leaving the seeds on the ground to despawn over time. Wheat crops will never be planted by villagers leaving harvested farmland baron, unless the villager obtains carrots or potatoes, in which case he will plant the carrots or potatoes.
Confirmed still an issue in 1.0.5 on Win 10 64 bit. Please mark as a continued issue affecting 1.0.5.
Confirmed still an issue in 1.0.5 on Win 10 64 bit. Please update to include affecting 1.0.5.
Confirmed fixed in 1.0.5 on Win 10 64 bit. Brown-robed villagers now accurately throw food towards the hungry villager rather than in a NEE direction. Please mark as resolved.
FYI - in the Java / Desktop version, villagers will share food with hungry villagers BEFORE harvesting crops if they have enough food in their inventory.
Yes hopefully this is the same issue that has been resolved in 1.05, however the issue and release notes specify only hostile mobs, and do not mention villages, villagers, or passive mobs. I'm not able to test using Win 10 edition yet since beta program is not available to Win 10 edition users yet. Will test once 1.05 is released to Win 10 edition.
Still confirmed on Win 10 edition v1.04. Newly spawned brown-robed villager will not pick up wheat seeds or beetroot seeds, but will pick up carrots, potatoes, and wheat. If farmland is near, villager will plant the carrots or potatoes. If another hungry villager is nearby and the brown-robed villager has enough food, it will attempt to share the wheat (in the form of bread), carrots, and potatoes with the hungry villager by throwing the items.
Confirmed still an issue in 1.0.6 on Win 10 64 bit.
