No, the file size is permanently increased. Destroying the maps in lava or the void doesn't work either.

In my situation it only happens to my friend when I am using a trident near him.
Yeah, it's a very unenjoyable experience to play on my realm right now. The lag is there with just one person, but it goes insane with two or more players. Should be fixed ASAP.
Still no news on this, my builds look disgusting now, please fix it soon.
