Enderpearls don’t cancel velocity
I’m not sure if this is a bug or a "feature" but I definitly think it should’nt be like this. If you fall and reach a certain fall speed and then throw an enderpearl against a wall to reset the amount of blocks you have fallen (fall damage) and maybe clutch, it is basically impossible to do that since you’re falling so much faster than if you just fell from there. This is only a small bug/ feature but I think it should be changed.
Thanks for reading through my request!
First of all thanks for the quick answering!
I don't know how to properly explain this issue, so I think my best try is to just show as many visuals as possible. In the picture, you see the setup I built in a superflat world. I jumped from the right island, then threw an enderpearl toward the second island (and in a real PvP scenario, I could maybe cobweb clutch there). However, I am still falling when the pearl hits. The green-red bar shows how fast I'm falling. It's probably clearer after you watch the video.
Clip 1 shows me executing this. In the slow motion, you can clearly see that after the pearl hits, I am not slowed down at all.
Clip 2 is a replay of that (taken with the Flashback mod).
Clip 3 is a real clip of this happening.
I hope my issue is now clear. If this is a wanted implementation, I am very sorry to have wasted your time. But If it is I think this isn't a good feature; however, that's not my decision. If this is actually unwanted, I am happy I could help you out.
I appreciate your time.
