You should switch your entity with your coordinates. 😉
And also, because you're summoning it as an entity and not giving it as an item, it should be ArmorStand .
This is also the case when using the @e selector.
/summon ArmorStand <x> <y> <z>
For example:
/tp @e[type=ArmorStand] ~ ~ ~
Still in 1.8.
Not fixed in 1.8, or the feature has not been implemented. Would be nice for 1.8.1! 😉
Isn't the gamerule called mobGriefing instead of mobGreifing ?
That works as intended. That's one of the features of a hopper.
I think this works as intended, but it might not.
The thing is that this is a lock to open the chest and not to break it or anything. This is because I think this was actually meant for adventure maps and for example minigames. But it would be a nice feature if they added it in 1.8.1... But then you can use TNT... So it might be hard to solve this problem.
And there are some bukkit plug-ins you can use, but I've heard they won't get updated for 1.8, not sure...
You can use barriers...
/give @p minecraft:barrier
Perhaps they'll fix it in the third pre-release of 1.8.
That's a solution. But it's not very handy if you have to do that command every time you get back on that world. And besides, it's just a bug, isn't it?
Indeed. But maybe it might be a cool feature if for example @u was implemented. This would target the player u sing the command block, clicking a sign or clicking in a clickEvent in tellraw. I know there is [c=1] but that still doesn't fix the problem. I think this might be very useful! 🙂
If you want to have a LAN connection you'll have to turn your firewall off, for both computers. Maybe you forgot that...
Owh, I'm sorry... I just thought it was only on my specific world and something with corrupted chunks so...
Well it turned out to be something else... I'll repair it! 🙂
Problem has been solved already.
Doesn't this work as intended? I don't know whether nametags are visible when you are actually invisible or anything, but I do know you can change the possibility of viewing nametags in teams with
/scoreboard teams option <team> nametagVisiblity <never|hideForOtherTeams|hideForOwnTeam|always>
Can you change it with this? I don't know if this has to do with it but it might help...
This problem hasn't been solved in the prelease of 1.8, though I think it's a kinda major bug since /summon isn't used seldom...
I used to use them, but then it started doing things like this and when I now think about it, this is exactly what most of my spawners did...
But it's fixed now
Oh okay, thank you! Then this topic isn't necessary anymore... I'll remove it when I've figured out how 🙂
And I've got a question, how do you make a template like that or make the text bold or italic? <b></b> doesn't work...
Oh yeah, that's a shame... Accidententally made it day...
However, when I tried to make that spawner while it was night, it still didn't spawn any mobs. And this bug seems to occur randomly, I managed to get it to work a few times.
EDIT: If you add 'RequiredPlayerRange' the bug doesn't seem to occur.
Got the same problem with 14w32d and now with 14w33c, it seems that it has something to do with the latest snapshot but I don't know... But what happened to me, I'm working on an adventure map and every now and then when I came back in my world my villagers disappeared... And I'm not going far away or something, just staying in the spawnchunks and then they disappear... Also my potions (as items, they'll never despawn or get picked up by players) disappeared, but my written books with the exact same tags as the potions are still there...
(1.8) Still not fixed...
Affects shears and tools, also blocks... Very annoying and this makes the whole stat.useItem useless
Does work with cocoa beans
